Juan Brito — Florida color guard educator and director

For nearly a decade, Juan Brito has been a dynamic presence in Florida’s marching-arts community—first as a performer, then as an instructor, and now as a program director. His journey began at Braden River High School, progressed to the national stage with Spirit of Atlanta (2019 & 2021) and Carolina Crown (2022 & 2023), and today includes service on the instructional staff at The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps while leading the color guard at Newsome High School in Lithia, Florida.


Early Roots at Braden River High School

At Braden River, Juan developed the precision, collaboration, and performance mindset that still guides his approach to education—balancing artistry with personal development for student performers.

Spirit of Atlanta (2019 & 2021)

Juan expanded his performance experience with Spirit of Atlanta, embracing the professional standards and day-to-day rigor of drum corps.

Teaching and Collaboration Across Florida

Building on his performance experience, Juan has worked with multiple Florida programs—including Braden River HS, Wiregrass Ranch HS, and others—where he focuses on technical refinement, expressive performance, and positive team culture.

Now in his second year as Director of the Newsome High School Color Guard, Juan leads a growing program recognized for creativity, structure, and student engagement. His emphasis on consistency, accountability, and ensemble cohesion supports sustained progress throughout the season.
